Half Day Pisgah Waterfall Tour
every Sunday
March 29, 2026 - November 8, 2026

Discover how Pisgah National Forest earned its nickname "the land of waterfalls" as we guide you on a small group hike to explore hidden, off-the-beaten-path waterfalls within the Blue Ridge Mountains. Our expert guides will share fascinating local history and ecology while leading you to these pristine natural wonders. Drive southeast of Asheville to Pisgah National Forest (about 50 minutes drive) and make a few stops to see 3-5 waterfalls. Each stop will be less than 2 miles on moderate terrain, for a total distance of around 3-4 miles. This is an ideal tour for solo travelers or small groups, folks visiting Asheville without a vehicle, or hikers who want an easy way to see several beautiful waterfalls.

The group is limited to 6 hikers. Our small groups allow for a more intimate experience and personalized attention from your guide.
Meet at 8:30 a.m. in downtown Asheville. You will meet your hiking guide and receive a rundown of the itinerary. The 5-hour tour includes drive time and 2.5-3 hours of hiking. Snacks and transportation are included. Your guide can provide trekking poles, a daypack, and/or bottled water upon request, at no additional charge.
Hikers should arrive prepared for all weather conditions and pack a rain jacket, an extra warm layer, and water. In the event of severe or dangerous weather conditions, your hike may be canceled/rescheduled. We recommend wearing sturdy hiking shoes and bringing a camera to capture the magnificent waterfalls.
Guides:
Your guide for most dates will be Eli "Little Bit" Adams. Born and raised in South Florida, Eli fell in love with the outdoors during a year-long stay in Hawaii and pursued a career in environmental education. With years of experience in adventure guiding, from kayaking hidden mangrove tunnels to sumiting local mountains, she has been a naturalist and hiking guide in the Blue Ridge Mountains for over four years. She earned the trail name "Little Bit" because of her keen eye for small forest discoveries.
For days where Eli is not available, another BRHC guide may lead this tour. All of our guides have extensive backcountry knowledge and experience, and are certified in Wilderness First Aid (or higher) and CPR.
