Women-Led Wednesday

Similar to purpose-driven shopping holidays like Small Business Saturday, Women-Led Wednesday is dedicated to supporting and spotlighting a specific business group—women—in efforts to create a more gender-balanced economy. The first Women-Led Wednesday was launched in 2018 in efforts to support and empower female leadership.
Women make up 50.8% of the US population but are not represented equally in the work force leadership. Here's a little data from womenledwednesday.com:
- As of 2018 there were more S&P 500 CEOs named James than women of any name
- Only 6% of CEOs are women
- Only 3% of business funding goes to women-led brands
